Wemyss Single Cask Range North British 2007, 12 Year Old, Pies, Puds and Preserves
46.0% | 70cl | Lowlands Single Grain Scotch
Wemyss Malts is an independant bottler from Scotland. It was founded in 2005 by brother and sister William and Isabella Wemyss. The family has direct links to Scotland’s whisky history, when Haig built the first distillery on their land in the Kingdom of Fife in 1840. The land has been used for many decades to grow quality barley and continues to supply the very best to maltsters for whisky production.
The Single Cask Collection has been developed so that each cask chosen for bottling is representative of the best characteristics of that region and the name given to each whisky reflects the unique aromas and flavours found within the bottle.
Pies, Puds and Preserves was distilled in 2007 by the North British Distillery.
The North British Distillery Company was established in 1885 on the western outskirts of Edinburgh by Andrew Usher, William Sanderson and John Crabbie.
It is a Single Grain Whisky, meaning that it may only be manufactured from four ingredients: water, malted barley, whole cereals and yeast. It was then matured for 12 years by the Wemyss Family in hogshead casks.
Only 338 bottles produced.
