Hernö Gin awarded with six Masters and Hernö Old Tom awarded with world’s best gin for the fifth time

Historical achievement: Hernö Gin awarded with six Masters and Hernö Old Tom awarded with world’s best gin for the fifth time.

Never ever in the history of the competition, a Distillery has been awarded with so many Masters in the same year, says The Spirit Business Gin Masters when they are announcing the results for Hernö Gin: six Masters, one Taste Master and two gold. Hernö Old Tom Gin and Hernö Pink BTL Gin can call themselves Double Masters and Hernö Old Tom Gin are receiving the Taste Master, which means that it was seen as the best of every single entry in the whole competition.

"This is truly amazing news, to create history when one of the world’s most eminent competitions are staging the masters in their field. And especially in times like these when we need happy news more than ever", says Jon Hillgren, Founder and Master Distiller at Hernö Gin.

A historical achievement with a total of seven Masters 2020.
Hernö Gin has over the years been accoladed with a total of 27 Masters in The Spirit Business Gin Masters. The earlier record was in 2015 when they received five Masters. Five years later Hernö Gin is writing history in the competition receiving seven awards; six Masters and one Taste Master.

"It is always exciting when representants from The Spirit Business Gin Masters are calling to announce the results. This year it was really special, as they never ever in the history of the competition have awarded one Distillery with so many Masters", says Jon.

Hernö Old Tom is receiving a Double Master and is also awarded Taste Master, which means that it is considered as the best gin in the whole competition. Hernö Pink BTL Gin, launched this year, is also receiving a Double Master.

"That our Pink BTL Gin is receiving a Master in the category London Dry is great news, since it is a pink bottle of London Dry Gin with the message to the world that gin colored pink is not London Dry Gin", states Jon.
