This authentic award-winning limited edition is a single malt that represents 17 years well spent. Distilled on Dec 18, 2002, the spirit was made using organically sourced barley. It then aged for 14 years in those casks before it was transferred into organic PX casks on May 5, 2016.
During the finishing with the PX cask, it developed a delicious sweetness, with notes of caramel, maple syrup and sherry soaked raisins – a 100% natural process. This limited edition Deanston is only the 3rd fully organic Deanston ever produced at the eco-conscious Deanston Distillery.
This edition has a limited bottling of 2,505 bottles worldwide.
COLOUR: Burnished copper.
NOSE: Very dry, with slight sulphur notes rolling back to reveal sweet dried fruits, raisins and dates.
PALATE: Sweet caramel, mouth-coating maple syrup, mixed candied peel and sherry soaked raisins.
FINISH: Long sweet finish, before fading to honeyed cashews.
