About Bodegas Bilbaínas
Founded in 1901 in Haro, the historic heart of Rioja Alta, Bodegas Bilbaínas is one of Rioja's oldest wineries. La Vicalanda is made from hand-picked Tempranillo from its best estate vineyards, where the old vines and low yields give concentrated fruit.

Winemaking
100% Tempranillo, aged for 2 years in French oak barrels (mostly new), then at least 3 more years in bottle before release.

Nose

Ripe black fruit with balsamic notes and toasty oak.

Palate

Full-bodied, rich and buttery, with lovely balance.

Finish

Long, persistent and complex.

How to enjoy
Open it an hour before serving, or decant it. Pair with grilled or roast beef, lamb, venison, rich stews, cured meats or aged cheeses. It also makes an elegant gift for a red wine lover.
