Pierro Fire Gully Chardonnay

Fruit was sourced from 20-30 year old vines with barrel fermentation taking place in second and third fill barrels followed by 10 months maturation with fortnightly lees stirring.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with distinct tints of green around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted white peach and tropical fruit aromas are trailed by hints of dried honey and citrusy nougat notes. Fleshy white peach and tropical fruit flavours carry plenty of intensity and texture across the palate with ripe melon, dried honey and citrusy nougat elements playing out on the back half. Finishes fresh, long and generously fruited.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
