Springbank 15 Year Old

About Springbank
Springbank has been distilling in Campbeltown since 1828 and is still family-owned. It does every step on site, from floor-malting its own barley to bottling. The spirit is lightly peated and distilled two and a half times.

Maturation
Aged entirely in sherry casks for at least 15 years. Bottled at 46% with no chill-filtration and no added colour.

Nose

Cured meat, beef jerky, clove, mint, a touch of iodine and stewed prunes.

Palate

Sooty kiln smoke and tobacco leaf, then prunes, walnuts, figs, demerara sugar and cocoa.

Finish

Soot, leather and walnuts, fading slowly.

How to enjoy
Best neat, maybe with one drop of water. Pair it with dark chocolate, walnuts or a cigar. It also makes a great gift for a Springbank fan who has already tried the 10.
